I know of few people who better represent what it means to be a bi-cultural citizen than Felicia Zhu. Her extensive service to our community, her strong belief in the value of education, and her tireless work ethic make her an excellent candidate for school trustee.
--- Geoff Jopson, Former Superintendent of West Vancouver School District
I have had the pleasure of working with Felicia on various West Vancouver School’s District Parent Advisory Council working groups in support of furthering parent education and community enrichment opportunities. Always prepared and professional, Felicia approaches situations with the experience gained from her background in education, community service, lived experience both as a new Canadian and supporting immigrant families in our community, and as a parent of students currently attending public schools in our district. I endorse Felicia for School Board Trustee, as her wide experience and associations provide her with the ability to broadly represent parents in the West Vancouver school community.
--- Kelly Richter, Past Chair, West Vancouver DPAC
I am very pleased to endorse Felicia Zhu’s candidacy for West Vancouver School Trustee.
I have known Felicia for a number of years, working beside her on a Board serving our community. Felicia is a highly thoughtful, considerate and articulate individual who understands the value and the importance of service to the community.
Her direct knowledge and experience of the school system, together with her engaging, inquisitive nature will make her an excellent trustee of our cherished West Vancouver school system.
--- Andy Krawczyk, Educator, Retired VSB Administrator, West Vancouver Civic Award for Community Engagement 2014
Felicia Zhu has been a volunteer with the 1st West Vancouver Scout Group for 8 years, helping with our annual Family Dinners, Year End Picnics, Family Camps and serving on our Group Committee. Felicia is the type to roll up her sleeves and pitch in, and her sense of service and duty to community make her an excellent fit for Scouts. I especially value her advice regarding newcomers to our community and she continues to guide us in that regard. West Vancouver is lucky to have people like Felicia.
--- Chris Nemeth, 1st West Vancouver Scout Group
I got to know Felicia when we worked together at the West Vancouver school district’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (under District Parent Advisory Council) for the last two years. I found her dedicated, professional, and knowledgeable and impeccable with words. She comes to meetings with sufficient preparation and is ready to make contributions. I can always benefit from her ideas and thoughts. I fully support Felicia’s decision to run for the School Board and wish her the best.
--- Miki Takabayashi, director, Whistler Multicultural Society
I have known Felicia and her family close to 8 years since they first enrolled their son in my school. Since our first meeting Felicia has been a supportive, and kind-hearted parent in our karate community. Whenever we run events at our school, Felicia is one who always offers her support in some capacity. she is a parent that I can count on. From my observations and interactions with her, Felicia strikes me as one to be very humble but simultaneously courageous, personable and at the same time professional. I believe Felicia extremely capable of excelling at anything she chooses to pursue and fully endorse her campaign.
--- Matt Bickel, the Founder and Chief Instructor of West Van Karate Academy
